What the fuq?? Sure, you had 4 "meetings" with these people....how do you not know they are going to turn around and sell the baby? Or that they can provide for her?? This is insane to me!!!
I was totally floored by this when I read it today! I don't understand how people would think that this is a good, responsible idea!? And seriously, do the people not know ahead of time that they are getting a baby? What the fuck do you do if you're in no position to take a "won" baby?!

Aamir Liaquat Hussain is full of shit. He's trying to compare giving gifts on Christmas to giving a baby on television? The babies could use a good home, however, the recipients are unsuspecting! I wonder if they can refuse the child...how could they? He makes it seem like he is doing a good deed, but really, he's doing it for the publicity. Or the lulz.
They are unsuspecting at that moment, however, it sounds like they have been wanting a baby and have registered with the organization that takes in abandoned babies, and had 4 interviews to vet them out to ensure they do want the baby. I don't know a lot about Pakistan, but I suspect they are far behind other countries and adoption procedures. Giving the wanting couple the baby on a TV show is ass backwards- taking a very intimate and special thing and capitalizing on it for ratings - its unheard of. The only redeeming part of this scenario is that the babies go to a wanting home and family in the end.
So many mixed feelings. I hope those babies are truly loved and cared for...I think it's horrible to use them for TV ratings though. It's much better than them dying on the streets, but so sad that they're used for publicity and pushed upon unprepared people. Unless they're providing a nursery as well, I'd be so overwhelmed.

Well, then if they already have registered with the NGO for a baby then it's definitely a publicity stunt. Why would they need it on TV? It's like getting proposed to in front of a crowd of strangers.
Re: Pakistani Game Show's Baby Giveaway
I'm horrified and intrigued by this all at the same time.
