Hi! I've been lurking around here for a while and have participated on some of the other boards, mostly BOTB and TTC and I wanted to say hi over here as well. It's been a while since my loss but I'm just now getting around to being okay with it and thinking about trying again.
I'm 24 and have always known that I wanted to have babies young. I have a stable, thriving career and DH and I just bought our first home. Well, I got a BFP on 3/26 and was ecstatic. We weren't trying but we weren't being careful so it was a little unexpected. I told close family and my best friend and decided to wait until after my first u/s to tell everyone else. On 4/2 I had a m/c. I was 6 weeks along. Also, this all happened less than a month before mine and DH's wedding.
It's been really difficult. Doctor did an u/s because I went in after a little bleeding and we were able to see the little sac, no heartbeat or anything. I actually miscarried after the appt, but they were able to tell me that it was going to happen and I still have the u/s in my home office. Don't know what to do with it, can't take it down but can't stand looking at it every day.
The support from this group is appreciated. I have learned a lot and am starting to feel better about trying again.
One question: my cycle is totally different than before m/c. I was a little irregular but usually between 28-35 day cycles. Now, I'm having exactly 28 day cycles every single month. Not complaining, it's pretty nice, but not sure if anyone else has experienced such a big change in their cycle after a loss.

Sorry for your losses, and welcome to the TTCAL board. I hope that your stay here is short and sweet. I can not state that my cycle has changed per say. I stopped by OCP two months before my BFP and since the MC have had a regular 21-23 day cycle. Which is days shorter than my normal 28 on OCP. I hope that your cycle stays the same, it is nice to not have such a long wait for a missed AF to test.

So sorry for your loss. My cycles have been very different since my m/c. Although, opposite of you, mine have been longer. Not sure if it's my new 'normal' or not yet.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7
Thanks! I've read of cycles getting out of whack, but I've never heard of cycles getting "into" whack, if that makes sense. I've always been irregular and now all of a sudden my cycle has been regular, 28 days exactly since April. Hey, better for me! Haha.

I've always had long, irregular cycles, but after my one successful pregnancy my cycles were 33 days, which I was thrilled about. After my first miscarriage though, my cycles got wonky again, so who knows. I hope this is your new normal!
I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope your stay here is short. My cycle length is the same, but my periods are lasting longer. I think everyone's body reacts differently. I hope that this is your new "norm" though! It's much easier when you know when to expect AF!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board, I hope your stay is short and sweet.
My period was back to normal after our first loss, but after our second loss my periods have become heavier, longer, and more painful. I sure hope things get back to normal soon.
Re: Time to introduce myself here
have you read the blog? If not, there is a ton of really useful information you can find there.
As for your cycles, it's not unheard of for our cycles to change after a loss.
