It looks like I am ready to join you ladies. I had a mmc 4 weeks ago, and FINALLY "passed" the pregnancy this past Monday narrowly avoiding a complicated d&c. I was diagnosed with a severe bicornuate uterus. The drs still can't believe I was lucky enough to have one baby. I am really hoping and praying for a sweet rainbow baby soon. It's just very hard to ignore drs and their statistics. they want me to wait a cycle for ttc, but other than timing it we aren't doing anything to avoid this month. Just wanted to say hello and wish everyone good luck and baby dust!
Sorry for your loss. Also, I agree with PP about changing your avatar. It can be hurtful to women. And, FWIW, I think it is really silly if you aren't doing anything to avoid this month after your Dr. told you to wait. In the sentence right before that you said it's hard to ignore Drs, but that is what you are doing. What if you O early or late and don't know it, so your timing strategy doesn't work? Drs give orders for a reason, and you should probably heed their advice. Welcome to the board.

Loving this, I have never been so glad as to be mobile today.

I apologize if anyone was bothered by my avatar. I will change it when I can get to a desktop. I figure I did put in my title the warning of the baby siggy, so perhaps those who are sensitive wouldn't open my discussion.
As for ignoring drs. I don't think not waiting, or rather only using timing as a method of avoidance because its harder to date the pregnancy (which can be easier remedied with an ultrasound) is not the same as ignoring the drs saying you may never have another full term child.
So sorry for your loss. Hopefully you can find the support here you need. As far as the other ladies recommending listening to your doctor.. I would also agree. It may not be just for dating purposes, or did your doctor specifically say that? It may be because your body may not be ready to hold a pregnancy again, which would result in another loss. They are just trying to help out you and your body. Good luck!

You said in your original post your Dr wants you to wait a cycle before TTC. You followed that by saying you aren't avoiding getting pg except timing. If you aren't charting, temping, etc. then your timing means nothing. There must have been a reason for your Dr. to say wait a cycle. You're a big girl and can do what you want. I was simply suggesting listening to the person that you sought out and pay for medical advice.
Let me clarify. I am temping, charting, watching cervical mucus etc... I just meant we are not using birth control pills, condoms etc.
I think we're all just trying to caution you toe be careful, extra careful after a loss specifically. Your body will be wonky afterwards, CM and CP out of whack, as well as temps. And ultimately, temps can only tell you you've O'd after it happens. What if you don't get EWCM like normal and still ovulate, have sex thinking you're ok, and then see your temp spike signalling O? A scenario like this is always possible. 'Timing' after a loss when your body is likely to be all sorts of wonky can be a disastrously unreliable way to go about things. We'd all just hate to see someone go through another painful loss because they got KU before they should.

Get out of my head!
This exactly! OP, my cycles run long... usually 40-50 days. My first cycle after my mc I ovulated on CD22, which is much earlier than usual. I think you should really consider using condoms or abstaining to make sure an "oops" doesn't happen. It would feel terrible to risk another loss because you didn't follow doctor's orders.
I'm so sorry for your loss and all that you've been through. But please, use protection or abstain. I know you're charting, temping, and checking cp and cm, but none of that is fool-proof (yes, I know condoms aren't either)- particularly since cp and cm can change multiple times daily and your temp only confirms O after the fact.
Welcome, and best of luck to you. Hoping your stay is short and sweet.
