And how many weeks were u girls when u found out what u were having?!!! I had a scan at 14 weeks and tech said it was too early to tell!! Wonder if its because its a girl?! The tech said she couldn't tell.... Help! Lol
The tech told us that all babies develop differently, some take a little longer while other babies will show earlier. It doesn't mean one sex or the other. Just wait until your A/S and all your questions will be answered
December Siggy Challenge: Love Actually
Married DH: April 21 2012 // Expecting our first: Jan 20 2014
I had an ultrasound yesterday at 14w1d, and the tech - as well as my maternal-fetal medicine doctor - both guessed girl. We got a pretty clear money shot, but we will confirm at my actual anatomy scan at 18w1d.
I had genetic testing that resulted at 12 weeks saying girl. My office ultrasound that week, dr said looks like a girl (since there were no obvious boy parts) but he would confirm again at my 16 office u/s and my A/S at the end of August. I'm 14 weeks 5 d today.
With my son they guessed correct at NT. I had the verify this time at 10w5d and it says boy. We shall see if it is correct at the next ultrasound. I hope so, I wanted B to have a brother.
I'm trying to figure out why you would capitalize the word GENDER in your subject line. My brain immediately assumes you're trying to start a gender vs. sex fight, but I want to give you the benefit of the doubt. Could you please explain the capitalization?
I won't find out the sex of the baby till Sept 9th.

We have an ultra sound scheduled for a week from today with an outside ultrasound company who specialize in 3D ultrasounds-- I will be 17w 4d-- otherwise I would have to wait until the first of September and I'm just too curious to wait!
I found out the sex of my first two at my a/s at 17w4d. We were team green with #3. I will find out the sex of this baby at my a/s at 18w1d (August 30th.)
The tech said it was too early to tell at 14 weeks because it was too early to tell with any certainty. I wouldn't buy a single pink or blue thing yet in your shoes.
I will find out on Aug 22 at my a/s. I will be 20w0d at that point. Feels like a long wait but I'm hoping that means all the parts will be easy to see. (Wishful thinking, perhaps.)
If you don't a medical need for another u/s, it's unlikely you'll find out until your a/s unless you go have an elective one. Although, I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for "help" with, that was just an assumption.
We had the harmony test done at 11 weeks. So last week we found out we were having a girl. Our anatomy scan in September 3rd and if we didn't have the harmony test we would be waiting until then.

I found out GIRL at 13 weeks but I had the MaterniT21 test. I had an anatomy scan yesterday at 16w2d but they couldn't confirm...baby girl was not cooperating. I go back for another anatomy scan at 20w1d.
We found out at 12 weeks we were having a girl at my NT testing with my specialist. My husband asked what the chances are o that being wrong and he said its 100% a girl!! We told my obgyn at my next appointment with my obgyn and he said to ignore everything that was said bc its too early!!! You could even say he was appalled t the specialist! I have another appointment with my specialist today and I'm 14 weeks. Hoping they can confirm!!
Edit: I also took the Panorama test and would have found out even earlier if the test had worked. I had to go back and redo the test last week. I'm still waiting on the results.
No reason for capitalization actually! Gender / sex same thing!
No it's not. From the World Health Organization:
"Sex" refers to the biological and physiological characteristics that define men and women.
"Gender" refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviours, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for men and women.
To put it another way:
"Male" and "female" are sex categories, while "masculine" and "feminine" are gender categories.
Aspects of sex will not vary substantially between different human societies, while aspects of gender may vary greatly.
And once again NO reason for capitalization! Lol NOT trying to start a fight over anything on here. Geez lol. It's a place to communicate with others moms not fight over anything.

To quote a fellow bumpies siggy line: "Sex is between the legs. Gender is between the ears" They are NOT the same thing, please educate yourself by reading the previous posts.
We found out the SEX at 20wks with DS1 and 17wks with DS2 with an elective u/s. We will find out at around 19wks this time around.
Watch out, the politically correct police are gonna attack you now!
I am definitely not politically correct the majority of the time. I even understand when some people feel uncomfortable saying the word sex and instead use gender (though I don't really get it). But to say they're the same thing is wrong. No one would have probably even called the OP out if she hadn't capitalized it in her topic title and therefore drawn attention to it.
Just because you didn't happen to see a PENIS doesn't mean there isn't one there. Unless they saw the telltale signs of a VAGINA, I wouldn't assume girl.

So you just capitalize random words all of the time? That's kind of weird.

Maybe she likes to scream random words when talks....like Oprah!
I'm pretty sure she is a TROLL anyway.
wish I wasn't on mobile so I could post an Oprah yelling GIF!

DH had a dream that it's a boy, therefore, it must be! (According to him, anyway. And he says he had a similar dream with DS. We shall see!).
The tech told us at our 12 u/s that it *looked* like a boy, but that it was really too early to be certain and that we shouldn't hold her to it.
We'll find out sex for sure in September.
Funny, I wondered the exact same thing!
