Sick Baby (Warning, kinda gross)

So DS has been sick for a couple days and has had runny diarrhea all day. He is drinking okay and he has a doctor appointment tomorrow, but I am just freaking out and hoping I am just overreacting. What have your pediatricians said?

Take a deep breath, Momma.

As long as he is keeping hydrated, just keep his bum nice and lathered up with diaper cream to prevent rash, and it will just run it's course. Get some pedialyte and alternate that with BM/formula and water, whatever he will take. Aim for about 4 oz each time (per my pedi).

And follow the BRAT diet. Bananas, rice, apples and toast. Diarrhea killer.

DS had it for 5 days straight, going 10x/day and got a horrible diaper rash. Pedi did a strep test asked if he was vomiting (he wasn't), eating drinking okay (he was), had a fever (nope), and said we'd just have to wait it out. Hope she feel better.

Liam had a fever (but not over 103) last week and has had diarrhea for a solid week and got an awful rash from it. When I called the pedi, they suggested neosporin under diaper cream for the rash and Florastor kids probiotics to help his tummy. The probiotics seemed to help.
