Cloth Diapering

Ivory baby snow and/or Kirkland free and clear

So I was thinking of using ivory baby snow detergent for clothes and Kirkland free and clear for CDs regular washes. I have prefolds and some aio pul dipes if that changes things.

I will get some rockin green for stripping. Since I'm a ftm am I setting myself to fail or does this sound relatively okay?

Fir the CDs, I was thinking to start with a cold rinse, no soap, hot wash with detergent then cold rinse (or two) no soap.

TIA for your help!

This is the guide I use for finding good CD detergents: https://www.pinstripesandpolkadots.com/detergentchoices.htm.

Personally, I have only had to do a hot water strip on my diapers b/c of detergent build-up. There are different ways to strip diapers, and what you will use will depend on what is causing the problem. You might want to wait on ordering anything for that purpose.

Your wash routine sounds fine. I do a warm rinse instead of cold to start, but it is something you can play with to see what works for you. Just be sure that there is a spin b/n your first rinse and your actual wash cycle so that it is spinning the yucky pee water out before it starts washing.
