I noticed last night that I could smell my cat's food all the way in our bedroom (it's pretty far away with 3 walls and a hallway separating us).

Today I can smell everything.

My boss had a chocolate bar, it was on his breath.

I could smell all of my neighbors apartments through their closed door (we have pretty heavy ventilation in the corridors and usually you can't smell anything). 

And finally, what convinced me I now have a superpower on my hands - I used a Qtip and it had a smell..

I checked the rest of the box, and now I can smell this disinfectant smell on them - which I never detected before. 

Anyone else have some new mama super powers?

I dislike this superpower. If only being pg also came with the super power to clean everything in under a minute without ever having to lift a finger.

I have been having the super smell too. I also have the super power to fall asleep anywhere anytime...except at actual bedtime.

Same here.

Except after waking up to pee at 4Am this morning. There was no way to fall asleep after that for me either!

Yes, and it seems to get worse the further along you get. I smell EVERYTHING. It's so annoying.

I definitely have the smell super power too. I also told Mr.MM the other day that I now possess the power of the mom, the ability to "kiss it better" haha he had hurt himself obviously.

I could smell EVERYTHING during my first tri! I remember telling DH it was the worst super power ever!

Now my super powers are napping and eating. Like a boss.

I have super sonic hearing.  It is REALLY weird. I swear I can hear everything everyone is doing in my office, one woman had on a necklace with links that I could hear the small links clinking together.  She said she couldn't even hear it when I mentioned it (and then asked her to refrain from wearing it again until my maternity leave-we are friends so it was okay-unless I have super b*tchy powers too).  Even my own fingers on the keyboard annoy me.

So far, nothing but super smell. I feel like my dog! During my last pregnancy, I totally lost my sense of taste for salt (we called it my saltometer). It's been off ever since.. I taste it when there's no salt in something, or I won't taste it when something is salty to everyone else.

Totally agree with this one Books! I have IBS and colitis and my bowels are usually awful- except when pregnant. I can eat WHATEVER I want, when I want and don't have to run to the bathroom 30 min after a meal
