So, I had my day 10 monitoring appointment this morning and I left very confused! I am on the long Lupron protocol because they didn't think I was suppressed enough on the micro dose flare since I had a few lead follicles take off and mature very early. I think I am over suppressed this time but nobody has told me that.
Anyways, on my day 6 appointment they saw 7 measurable follies. On day 8, it was 6 measurable and a few under 10. Today I went and they said they thought I had a few more days of stims but they thought they would definitely get 4, maybe 5 and there are several under 10. i didnt think to ask but i should have, what happened to the 6 that were over 10 the other day, how do you lose them? I am really nervous now that this is going to be a bust. I was okay with 6 but 4 is making me super nervous.
How many have you gotten vs. what they projected? Also, I go to a large clinic but I have not seen or heard from my RE since this cycle started, just the nurse on 2 of the 3 appointments... Is that normal???
Sorry for the book. I don't know what to do!

@maitaibeth thanks for your response! I am sorry you are confused too. I really wish they explained things more. They told me that 5 was how many that were over 10 and they were all around the same size. But as the nurse was calling out the numbers, it didn't sound like they were all that close in size. That stinks that you are going every day! I hate getting the blood drawn and I am sure you are more than sick of it! How long are you coasting for?

@maitaibeth (not sure of the right way either) Wow- that is a high e2 level! Fx that it comes down enough and everything grows so you can get ER and stop going there everyday!

Good luck - try not to focus on numbers too much. I am DOR also. On my most recent retreival, they saw 5 measurable follies. But by the last ultrasound before I triggered, she only saw 3 that were where the size they wanted. The other ones didn't go away, they just didn't grow at the same pace as the 3 leads. So she had me trigger and said there was a chance the other two could catch up - but wanted to go for that were for sure. I ended up w/3 mature eggs at retrieval. I was disappointed that I started out with 5, but sometimes that is how it goes.
Also - I didn't see my doctor until the last monitoring appointment. The nurses seem to run the show.
Good luck!!

I don't really have an answer for you. Hopefully a few of your smaller ones catch up and besides, quality of quantity. I got 15 at retrieval and left being certain my diagnosis was wrong. Turns out only 8 were mature and don't appear to have been great quality. Good luck, I hope you are pleasantly surprised at ER.
@curlylocks, thanks! I hope so too but I just hope that I don't get canceled before then! Good luck to you, I hope you are pleasantly surprised regarding your quality concerns as well! This process is so hard and so many unexpected hurdles pop up at different points...ugh, I hope both our weeks get better

@weekly. They are hoping for at least 4 so I am not sure if they would convert me. I have had 4 failed IUIs so I don't have much hope for that so I am hoping they don't go that route but if I go in tomorrow and they only see 3, I am definitely asking about it. You are right that it would save money and be so much less invasive but I already used 9 days of stims so I am hoping that wasn't wasted. I am also worried that this is the best that I can do with my AMH so low. The nurse keeps telling me to stay positive but it's so hard! Thanks!
