Charcoal Inserts- Prepping ?

I got a few charcoal inserts yesterday at a cloth diaper yard sale. The lady I got them from was selling them for another lady and did not know anything about them. They are brand new. How should I prep these? Can I just through them in with the large load of dirties that I'm washing later since there is only 4 of them?

I believe you prep them the same as other natural fiber inserts, 5+ washes.
