Pregnant after a Loss

Rash?

I just noticed that I have a rash on the top/side of my left breast. It doesn't itch but the it is really red. DH said it looked like I got a sunburn on one side. I have no idea what it is from and I haven't had any skin issues this pregnancy. I just put hydrocortisone cream on it and hope it goes away. Is this normal? I feel like I shouldn't call the OB hotline over this and just wait to see if it goes away. What would you do?

Could be an infection from the changes and growing, I had one with DS2 and you described it exactly like what I had. It started hurting after a few days and I ended up having to take antibiotics.

I'll keep an eye on it and call Monday if it doesn't go away. Thanks.

I got some heat rash on the top of my belly and the side of my breast last week.  Not sure if that's what you got or not, but I did go see my doctor about it and in a few days it went away.

If it doesn't go away I would ask your ob. Careful with hydrocortisone cream.. From what I have read it is something you should avoid if possible...

Hmm, I was told to use it for my eczema because my prescription cream was not okay during pregnancy. I haven't had trouble with the eczema in a while, but I will definitely ask the doctor about the hydrocortisone cream.

My midwife said OTC Hydrocortisone cream is fine if it's no more than 1%.  I've had a rash on my forearms and tops of my hands for a few weeks now.  It is very itchy and usually starts when I'm working out and hot.  So I am assumming it's a heat rash.  Never had it before but I do have sensitive skin, and I've had other skin issues before pregnancy.  Per my midwife, I've been popping a benadryl now and then when it is really itchy.  I need to buy more cream.  Also, Witch Hazel makes it feel better.  Hope yours goes away soon.
