New bump, new etiquette?

So I was just wondering, since the bump changes have added new features (like the "love it" button) is there a new etiquette to?. For example just hitting the "love it" button instead of quoting and adding "this". Or tagging instead of quoting at all?
Also, I just wanted to throw out I hate that we can't see post counts without clicking on profiles. Now we have no idea who is a troll automatically.

I say just do what you want. Quote if you want to or tag if you want to. "Love it" or "This" it, I don't think it matters.

I miss post counts too. I want my Gold Status back.

I have to say I really enjoy the "love it" button... I generally still reply to the post too.  Unless its just a pic or GIF. 

I don't like how on mobile you cant see who made the original post.  You only see who last commented on it. 

And I agree on not being able to see post counts.  Annoying for sure!

i think for now it is whatever goes.  I'm sure once the old format is forgotten, new rules will emerge.

I miss the post counts, too.  I was so close to gold eta: i was close to silver, not gold

I was going to post the same. If I really feel like I don't have anything to add I just click "Love it". Mostly because I'm lazy. But if I'm going to elaborate in some manner, because I just know everyone cares what I have to say, I quote it.

I'm a "love it" whore. I'm finally starting to remember pretty much all the regs and semi regs, but I click on the profile and the post count is there.

I feel like I hit the "love it" button kind of like I do a facebook "like" if that makes sense..

Someone else made the comment that the post count may be to avoid the mob mentality towards potential trolls and newbies.

Dude, I'm so over it. If I don't recognize the OP I don't even open the thread anymore. Usually, anyway. Perhaps I'm a moody b!tch these days, but I don't care if you think you're in labor. I don't care if you just had your kid. I don't care if your back hurts. So unless it's someone I recognize as posting here sometime in the past few months I don't even bother reading what they have to say.

I was hesitant to use it at first but I tend to take things too literally so if I didn't actually love what was said I wouldn't do it. Now I use it more but I just kinda do what I feel like at the moment. Lol

Post count and join date are kinda like badges of honor. I worked hard for that!

Exactly! Pregnancy brain doesn't make it easy to remember people so if it's not a name I see almost every day or they have a memorable sig then I'm like "have they actually been here the whole time?" and I feel bad for not recognizing them if they have.
BlondieBia21 That's the way I am with it too, but there have been a few times I used it instead of quoting and adding "this".

Sadly, yes I was a couple posts way from 10,100 right before the switch.

I agree with this. I can't tell you how many arrival post I read before I realized the last commenter was not the original poster.

I do like the other features like mobile picture posting and the reply cache. I have abandoned many posts after writing a long reply and then hitting back by mistake and losing my whole reply.
