Furbaby update

My pup just has a UTI. She has crystals in her urine, but no stones in her bladder on the X-ray, yay! I can already tell she is feeling better since starting antibiotics, but she still won't pee for me. I can't wait to get a fence put up so she can get back to her routine.

    Good news! My dog won't pee on a leash either. It can be frustrating but luckily she's good off leash!

    That's good news. Hopefully she keeps feeling better. Do you think she would be more likely to go if you put her out on a cable? I'm normally not for chaining dogs up, but poor thing! It's obviously not good for her to hold it like that!

    That was my original suggestion to DH when we first moved in- to put a temporary run up for them so they can get a little time outside, but he objected. I hate the idea of tying her up, but I may do that out of desperation if we can't get a fence up in the next few days.

    Great news! Glad it wasn't something serious. Hope she makes a quick recovery. My pup refuses to walk or use the bathroom on a leash. Luckily he isn't much of a wanderer and we can let him out without worrying about if he is going to run off.  Could you try one of those collars that keeps them with in a certain range until you get the fence put up?

    Very happy the pup is going to be ok. My girl pug got them a lot until we switched her to blue buffalo dog food. I also gave her unsweetened cranberry juice ice cubes and a mixture of apple cider vinegar and pure yogurt daily for about two weeks and she hasn't had one in about a year ::::knocks on wood:::::

    Poor pup! I think our love for our fur babies and "real" babies is something that majority of us on the board have in common!! I hope the meds help and your girl is back to herself in no time!
