My appt yesterday

My belly has been extra achy in the last few weeks. DH has been worried, but not so much here, things are expanding and what not. So at my appt they asked me if I took my 3 hour yet, Umm, no. You just told me I failed 2 days ago and as she could see, I have little ones to find a sitter for (had to take the kids). I do have it set up though for this weekend.

Then she measured me. I am mid week and I went from measuring right on time 4 weeks ago to measuring 4 1/2 weeks ahead. Well, that would explain why I have been so achy! So I am measuring 35 weeks and I am just shy of 30 1/2 weeks. So the OB began to stress I could have GD due to how large I have gotten. Also she stressed I could end up with an 8 or 9lb baby. Oh no!!!!! (insert sarcasm) I have only gained 6lbs (Yeah, I lost some of what I gained) this pregnancy. I am good with that. I am fluffy already.

Ok, I could have GD, but maybe not. The test will tell. If you look at previous pregnancies, the same thing has happened. The last 10 weeks I suddenly jump in size and I do have larger babies. 8lbs 3oz at 36 weeks and my 39 week was 9lbs 2oz and I had GD with no one. Maybe she should have checked my file to see that larger kids are normal and this sudden jump is nothing new either.

I know I sound mean, but I am not liking my OB. I mentioned that I might be up for a tubal ligation since I am a Csection but that will depend on how things look. I would like one more child. If it is not looking like a good idea then I want a tubal. Well, now she is telling me now that I will have a tubal because it is medically necessary. Uhh, no. And I am pulling my consent for it. My insurance will refuse it unless it is on file for 30 days. There is nothing at this point that deems it necessary. Yes, I have had talked to another Dr. for a 2nd opinion.

I am sure CousinVicky is wondering why I do not change OB's. Well, because I don't feel like it at this point. Other than her TL fixation, she is fine. I have my CS date set and it is an early morning (perfect). So I will stay with her. Plus, I just found out she is not going to be around the week of my csection, so she is not doing it.

DH will be getting a vasectomy either way if we are done after this one. I forgot to mention that. We were both going to be done as an extra percaution because I do have a friend who has had several tubal pregnancies after her ligation.
