Fighting naptime

R hates her crib ever since we began CIO about a month ago.  It is just not working out for us.  She never wakes up happy anymore, always screaming.  She screams when we put her down, even if she is asleep in our arms already.  Instant screaming.  We have so much family drama going on right now, I can barely handle this on top of it.  I tried for 3 hours to get her to nap this morning, before finally giving up and leaving her to scream in her crib until she finally sat down and went to bed.  Ferber just isn't working out for us, and I don't know what to do...
