Hot yoga

I *LOVE* hot yoga, much more than in an unheated room. It makes me feel relaxed and at ease and takes my mind off of any stresses. I am going back and forth on whether to continue during the 2 ww. After my first FET I did not practice, as my RE said I could do what I want, but she personally would probably not practice for that time period. But, she said, she had no evidence to back that up. My OBGYN told me I could certainly practice through pregnancy.

So, it's really up to me. I did everything by the book the first time and was unsuccessful. Now I am wondering if I should just go about my normal life and include the hot yoga. There is a part of me that actually thinks it could actually help, but of course there is the cautious part.

Any hot yoginis out there? Words of wisdom from anyone is appreciated.

Re: Hot yoga

  • That is one thing that I definitely stopped during 2ww.  It's proven that implantation rates are lower if you have elevated body temps or a fever.  Hot yoga essentially mimics a fever.  My RE was very much against it and she's never against anything.  I think I would start again a little further along, but I would not do it during the 2ww.

    Good Luck!!

  • I wouldn't risk it either.

Three ectopic preganacies in left tube in 1999, 2003 and 2004. HSG in 2010 concluded left tube blockage. IUI with femara in 2012 BFN. IVF #1 June 2013, 20 retreived, 14 mature, 12 fertilized via ICSI, one transferred, four frozen, BFN.  FET in September 2013 - BFN:( FET #2 April 2014 - BFP!!!!

  • I don't think I would risk overheating.  That is one area I was pretty worried about (even when laying out which is silly).
