Cord question

Aiden's cord finally fell off, but he still has some brown "stuff" in his belly button, it's hard and scabby like.  Should I try to pull this off?  Or will it eventually come off?  We thought a bath would help soften it up, but it still didn't come off. I'm kinda afraid to try to pull it off.  Thanks!

can you wipe it with a q-tip and alcohol?  I seem to remember Maddie having some scabby stuff that took a while to fall off.

If it's what Eloise had, it's not "scabby like", it is a scab. I wiped at hers and got it off... and she bled and got another one.

I'd leave it alone.

I would just continue to clean with water or alcohol and it will take care of itself.
