WDYT of the name Summer?

DH and I have a super tough time with names. He "thinks" it is his turn to name DD #2 since he gave in to "Annabelle" for DD. I am trying to find something on his very long list that I like- yikes!

Summer is the only name we agree on. He has pretty crazy names on his list. I want something simple, easy to spell, yet pretty. Summer isn't exciting as Annabelle, but it works. We have a very hard last name that people always say wrong and no one knows how to spell unless they are Latino

 Please be honest. Someone on the name board told another poster that Summer was a stripper name and another said it wasn't sophisticated. 

 I also love Lily, but DH does not. It might be too trendy too. TIA!

personally I don't like names of things.  I like names that are names.  I hate celeb names, Bronx Mowgli, Brooklyn, Paris, Sunday, Apple.....ugh, why?

I don't mind Summer.  I'm kind of neutral about it.  I don't really pick that as a stripper name.  I say if you and DH like it go with it.  If you don't think it's as "sophisticated" maybe give her a classic middle name that she could go by if she chose.

I like it, i know two girls with the name Summer.  I dont think i would ever use it, but i do like the name

i know a Summer Elizabeth and a Summer Nicole

i know several Summers but none are spelled like that... most are spelled Somer..

Summer was on my short list of names, but DH also thought it sounded like a stripper name. I loved it, though, and would use the name if DH ever relented. I grew up with quite a few Summers, so I have no idea where the stripper thing came from. If you love it, go for it!
