Second apt later this afternoon

and I am nervous as I will be going alone as dh can't go. I think it's just bloodwork and maybe they will give me an exact EDD.  My sil says they might order and ultrasound as well seeing my last pregnancy sadly ended in a m/c. What happened at your second apt?

At my 2nd appointment I peed in a cup, got weighed, we listened to the hb on the doppler and the doctor asked if I had any questions.  That's it.  I was 9w2d at my 2nd appointment though.

I had the 1st appt. at about 7 wks 2 days (where you are) and she ordered an u/s. My 2nd appt is next week and she's pretty much just checking in. Hopefully we'll be able to hear the h/b with the doppler, but otherwise, that's all we're doing. GL this afternoon- don't be nervous! It's hard once you've had a m/c, but try to think positive and talk to your dr. about any anxiety you have.

I went in today for bloodwork and the dr. said that I would be brought in for an early ultrasound possibly next week. But, I am going to push for the following week after so that hopefully we will see a heartbeat.

My second appt, We discussed all tests, scans I wanted to do, got a prescription for bloodwork and got an ultrasound!

i have to go to the majority of my appts by myself- my dh owns a restaurant and it is very difficult for him to get away from work- it felt akward at first getting our first u/s done without him but i survived and had something to show him when he got home from work- he was so excited (and i got to see his true reaction, rather than me reacting at the same time as him if he were at the appt- i would have missed it)- i know that it would have been much more exciting for him to see the heartbeat with me but i know he can't and he would if he could... basically hang in there, and he if can't go then that's ok...maybe next time!
