if your DC hates the carseat

I need help so any suggestions would be great.  My DS hates the car.  He will be in a great mood, fed, changed before we leave but as soon as we get in the car he starts screaming.  I bring the baby crack machine, toys and pacis to soothe him which will work sometimes if I am in the back seat and my DH is driving.  But I can't go out during the week by myself with him, I am starting to feel trapped.  Any suggestions on how to make it easier?

    I don't have any suggestions because my DD is the exact same way. She will wake up from a nap, feed her, change her and put her in the car. As soon as she is in her car seat she screams and nothing will soothe her. No idea why she hates it so much. We hope that once she switches to the next car seat she will like it better.

    Time and persistance. I tried all sorts of toys and eventually found one or 2 he only plays with in the car, but your LO is not yet ready for that, I think.

    Time. E used to hate the car and scream all the time. Now he might have a little fussy period but generally he plays in his seat. he is still in his infant seat and I imagine it will be even better in the convertible.
