DS is a paci-addict and also a tummy sleeper. So far, when I've tried putting him down not-quite-asleep, he pulls his paci out and then gets mad that it's gone, and can't fall asleep. He is now starting to try to put it back in himself, but he's still a terrible aim.
Do you have a paci-addict that will go down drowsy but awake?
Re: 'drowsy but awake' with a paci-addict?
Yep! Josie only cries if she's gassy, hungry, or tired. If we can rule out the first two, we just lay her on her tummy and pop in the paci. She's usually out within 5 minutes. Our problem is that she pops it out and can't get it back in yet, so that wakes us up sometimes at night [maybe 2-3] But she's starting to use her arms to kind of "rake" the paci back towards her mouth, so hopefully she'll learn to put it back in herself sooner rather than later!
If she didn't love her paci, I don't think we could put her down drowsy. She sucks herself to sleep.
