Babies: 0 - 3 Months

New Years Resolutions anyone?

I am bored! I only have 3:

1) Start eating healthier. NOT lose weight. Lose weight has been my resolution for the past 20 years (and I am only 31!) so it is now just to eat healthier. I am over 100 lbs overweight. I am resolving to eat healthier and hope that weight loss will trail along with it. I already exercise. #1 eat healthier strategy is to kick my Diet Mountain Dew addiction for good.

 2) RELAX! I am so damn uptight. I am going to take more baths, maybe start drinking wine.

 3) Use up every body wash, shampoo, and lotion in my house. I have a zillion half-used bottles of shampoo/lotion/gel/etc. and will not buy a single beauty product, even on sale, this year. I could probably make it two years.

Anyone else?

Re: New Years Resolutions anyone?

  • 1. Live a more "sustainable" life, or "go green", if you will!

    2. LOSE WEIGHT AND GET IN SHAPE! Josie is two months old and my stomach is blech..I still look 3-4 months pregnant. The stretch marks don't bother me at all, but I hate the pooch.

    3. find a new job because mine blows

    4. have more sex lol

    2 losses
    2 beautiful children
    proud mommy!

  • All of yours could be mine!! I have so much lotion and crap like that! It's insane! And now Charlie has his own collection too LOL!

Mine is to lose weight. I am back on WW and my folks bought us another year membership at the gym for Christmas. I want to lose 40lbs in 2009!

Also, I want to loosen up as well. I am way too rigid. I need to chill out!

I also want to read more books. DH and I are going to start our own "book club." I am excited to explore more books and watch less TV.

  • Get the last 10lbs of baby weight off plus another 10-15lbs! Like you, I want to exercise and eat better. DH and I both need to do this so another resolution is to start cooking instead of eating so much takeout.

     Good luck with yours!

LOL I thought of this one right after I hit "post"! I really need to read more. I do belong to a book club but haven't been since September.

  • oooooh I want to read more books, too. The new David Sedaris, for starters. It's been sitting unopened on my bedside table for months.

And I am going to learn more Spanish. I was on a role and doing great with it until I got PG.

  • Oh wow... number three seems like a really high goal!  :)  I have SO MUCH shampoo/lotion/etc, I don't know how long it'll take me to get rid of it.

I'm working on a list for my blog, but here's a few of them:

     1) Get a healthier body- increase my workouts, eat better, de-stress/relax more.

    2) Drink at least 64oz of water per day. Try to avoid soda, coffee and other crap that makes me feel icky.  Except for the first coffee o'the day.

    3) Bellydance as much as I did pre-baby.

    4) Take DH on a date at least once per month.

  • 1. Re-create my own style & portfolio for my photography business. ?I feel like I've been slacking. ?(With reason- I just had a baby!)

    2. Become a mama jogger! ?In the Spring I plan on buying a jogging stroller and trying to lose more weight.

    3. Make exercise & eating healthy a HABIT. ?My plan is to lose 40lbs, then I'll be back to my high school size :)

    4. Get rid of ALL debt, good and bad.

    5. Make more time for "US"

    6. Go Green! ?I really wanna be a green mama :)

Okay, that's all I can think of right now!
  • 1. Lose the baby weight, and hopefully then some.  I actually feel confident about this one, unlike years past.

    2. Find a better job!  This is DH's as well, but he can start on it much sooner than I can.  I have to go back to my work until the end of May otherwise I owe them back some tuition reimbursement I got this past spring.  But after that I am gone.

GEEK! I didn't know you had your baby, I was out of town! CONGRATS, she is adorable! 2 days after my birthday too, I bet she was just an angel at Christmas!

  • 1.  Lose the baby weight.  Yea for WW!

    2.  Start putting cocoa butter on my tummy.  It looks like someone tatooed flames going up my lower belly.

    3.  Quit my job as a teacher and start babysitting out of our home.  (I am so excited for this - I daydream about it almost daily.  I would do anything to be at home with DD during the day.)

  • 1. ?Lose the baby weight (about 10 more to go).

    2. ?Focus more at work (I'm only working 3 days/week so I need to really "be there" when I'm there).

    3. ?Cook more often (read: ?at all). ?

    4. ?Less Nesting :(?

  • 1. Join my local Moms of Multiples group

    2. Make playdates with all my friends who have recently had babies

    3. Meet new friends, especially those who would be interested in reading books together

    4. Start jogging with the girls in the Spring

    5. Stop obsessing over the past and move on
