BM after every meal? (Probably TMI)

On Monday of last week, I had the stomach flu.  Ever since then, I've needed to poo nearly immediately after every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Sometimes 2x after dinner.  I've always been a 1x a day - like clockwork - kind of girl.

I have an appointment on Wednesday and I'll definitely talk to the doc about it, but I'm wondering if it is the long term remnants of my stomach virus, or could it be that there just isn't enough room in there for everything.  I know you have to pee more because everything gets squished.  Could it be the same for your intestines and bowels too?

  • You definitely do run out of room. This didn't happen for me until closer to 35 weeks, but it could just be the way the little guy is sitting in there for you, too. I'd ask the doctor just to be sure, but that sounds pretty normal unfortunately! Hang in there!

  • From about 35-37 weeks I had horrible stomach cramps and long trips to the bathroom after every meal. it was miserable. Then it was followed up by a return of the constipation. Nice huh? I just think our GI tracks get all effed up with the baby moving around in there! Maalox really helped me because my experience was literally gut wrenching...??

  • I think it could be a bit of both, I had the stomach flu 2 weeks ago and I am still really sensitive to most foods.
