Ahhh FIL, you never disappoint...
Despite the fact that FIL was told several times that I am "sick" (still crampy etc) and we do not want anyone at our house, he shows up unannounced at our front door. Awesome.
Our house is extremely messy, we were JUST laying down Josiah for a nap, I had just woken up (yea... I'm exhausted, and have been sleeping late because Dh has been helping) and I wasn't even wearing a bra. How about a freaking phone call!?
I wasn't even going to answer the door but Dh saw it was his father and let him in. *sigh* I realize we can't prevent him from ever coming over, but geez... We had just talked to the man not even 15 minutes before he showed up, and he had said he was going to call us back to let us know what was going on for the day. What happened to that?!
If you're going to completely ignore our request for no visitors, at least give me 10 minutes to pretend my house isn't a total pit.

Know what I did the first time my ILs did that? Ignored it and then let them I know I *thought* I heard the doorbell ring, but was too tired to check whether or not someone had actually come over without calling. Actually I had just gotten DD down for a nap and I wanted peace and quiet while in the shower. A long, hot shower. Just. For.Me. They got the hint. Now if I could convince them to quit trying to get me to let them take DD in the car without me, I'd be a very happy mama!!!
