Those of you w/changing table-dresser combos

For those of you who have dressers with a changing pad on it, do you have something that keeps the pad from sliding all around?  Like my sister had these 2 hooks on the back of my nephew's dresser and then the changing pad that came with it had these loops on them to hook on to the back, so the baby and pad don't go sliding while you're changing him.

  • I don't have anything that connects the pad to the dresser, but I got kids furniture not baby.  I really don't have a problem with it sliding around though.  But you could probably put something on the back of the pad (non-scratching) so it doesn't slide.

  • Loading the player...
  • mine just rests on top, I havent had any problems so far with sliding, we will see as they get older though
  • I've been reading your posts asking about this b/c I have a piece of furniture that I would like to use as a changing table that isn't intended for that so I was wondering how bad the sliding of the pad would be. From the pp's it doesn't sound like to big of a deal...but if you are really worried, how about using those 3m "temporary" hooks upside down on the back of the dresser and stitching some fabric hooks to the changing pad to hook onto the hooks on the dresser-- does that make sense?

  • We have a changer/dresser combo from BRU... it came with a piece that attaches to the top of the dresser.. basically it just boxes in the top of the dresser and the changing pad fits inside.  I do not use the straps on the changing pad though.. I just tuck them inside the pad cover.  I never leave him unattended on the changer anyway.. I'm always right next to him.  Even as a newborn he's still really squirmy wormy.

  • I put one of those rubberized drawer liner gripper things under it and it never moves!
