Where's the cheapest place to get a few professional photos?

I want a really good one for the birth announcement. Nothing too overboard. I was thinking JC Penny.. any other places? Looking to spend under $50 total.

Thanks!

  • I had professional photos done at my house, but i also went to JCPenney to get some Christmas pictures.  They ended up taking a bunch of pictures and I was surprised at what a good job they did.  I'm sure you can find a package for under $50.  We received a lot of pictures, baby announcements, and 1 framed picture for $160....I thought it was a good deal.

  • Do you have a Portrait Innovations near you?  They have been the best for me for the price!
  • I bought a piece of black velvet for 25 bucks and had my FIL take pics with his nice camera.  I am too cheap for professional pics, even though I wanted some!  I would call around to find someone affordable.  JCP can be hit or miss, from what I have heard.  Maybe find an up and coming photographer who will work with your budget.

  • JC Penny would be my suggestion. They always have deals, so if you don't already have a coupon you can go to their website and print one to save some cash. Don't ever go there without a coupon, it would be wasteful!

You can see the current offer here:

    https://www.jcpportraits.com/coupons-and-partnerships.aspx

Or you could search the web or look through some baby magazines for a deal with free sitting fee (normally $9.99).

We got in and out for under $50 and still got a bunch of pics!!

  • Sears! $10 for 36 pictures w/the coupon that is almost always available on their website. It's so cheap, we go all the time.
