DD was diagnosed with an ear infection last Monday and put on Augmentin for 10 days to get rid of it. Christmas Eve rolls around and DD refuses to eat. She screamed at us when we came to her with the bottle and screamed when we tried to syringe feed her the formula. Later in the day she started to stare at the ceiling and pant, so we took her temp, which turned out to be 102.6 and rising. Taking into consideration the panting, fever, and lack of appetite, we rushed her to the ER. Merry First Christmas Livvy! Welcome to the WakeMed ER

She's all better now and has her healthy appetite back, but it still worried the hell out of us. That's so not the way to spend your first Christmas, but it will definitely be a memorable one!
