Infertility

do you find comfort in your religion or spiritual nature through IF?

I didn't realize how it would help us, so i wondered about everyone else.

My RE recommended some adjunct treatments. I ended up meeting with my deacon privately, and it was awesome. We are going to meet monthly now. He has since added us to the book of intentions so that the entire congregation can pray for us. I am not a huge religious person, but finding some comfort and inner peace with whatever might come our way has been great.

  • I 100% find comfort in knowing that my struggles are a part of a plan for our life. I pray and encourage others to pray for me as well. I too have added our name to "intentions" or prayer groups.

When I have my difficult moments it is so helpful to know I can close my eyes and feel secure knowing that everything will be ok, b/c it will be as God intended....

  • Yes, I do. ?As I am only human, I do waiver from time to time and I do question, but all in all, my faith is what has gotten me though many tough times in my life. ?Sadly, IF is not the worst I have been through ( I have lost both my parents and a sibling), and I am doing OK, so I figure that all will be OK as far as IF is concerned too.

  • I do. I find myself talking to God a lot more. I know that he knows what is best and I trust in Him....that in itself is comforting.

  • Heck yea!  If I didn't have my religion to turn to I don't know what I would do.

  • Yes I do too find that God does not make mistakes...there is a reason for all this. Trials are meant to be easy or fair but God is a just God and believe that he has the perfect plan for us. Its not easy to have faith, I have to constantly pray and spend time with Him for me to remember He is faithful. I love the verse Romanas 8:28 "We know that all things work together for good, to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose"....He promises that if we are His children, then He will work all things in our lives for good...not some things but ALL things. This verse has helped me take a step back many times. Although its not easy at all!
