VS sale - need advice!

To celebrate 1 year of BFing, I decided to go out and take advantage of the VS annual sale and get a couple of normal, non-nursing bras.  Imagine my dismay, when I realized that my bra size has gone up a band size and almost two full cup sizes.  And bras just don't look the same a 38D.  And why in the hell  are there so many ultra padded pushup bras in that size?  I mean, I'm not looking for a minimizer, but I'm not looking for the pinup look either.

I was so upset I left with nothing and I'll have to make another trip out.

Anyone have a suggestion for a VS bra that is comfy, looks awesome and doesn't have too much crazy padding in a larger size?

  • Go to the website.  The sale is on there and you can select what you want MUCH easier with the drop down/clicky options.  No sorting through bins or anything crazy like that... better options, same sale prices!

  • and check out retailmenot.com for coupon codes :) I PPH retailmenot.com

The only bras I have from VS are the VS cotton ones, and I love them!  I got the plunge demi and they fit great and I love that they are so comfortable.  I'm no where near a D (I'm a full B), so I don't know if that makes a difference.

  • I'm no help! I'm a 34dd and have to pay extra for my bras. And there is no bra anywhere that doesn't look like it belongs on a Grandma. Ugh. Good luck though! If you find something- let me know!
  • The best place to buy great comfortable bras in every size known to god (I am a 36F as in FUUUUCK those are huge) is https://www.figleaves.com/us/home.asp.

They have great shipping, help you really get sized, and you can return for free if they don't feel right.

  • I like Body by Victoria for a comfy bra and I'm a 34D. I shopped online and bought 5 bras, 2 panties and a sweater for $106 before tax. I bought one push up, 3 demi and one regular cotton. It's so much easier shopping online because it tells you everything about the bra (padded, swell cup, etc). Plus their return/exchange through mail is so easy!

  • I'm the same size a 38D because of nursing.  I swear by the IPEX demi or IPEX wireles....so comfy and they don't look grandma like even in the bigger sizes, plus they have some fun colos.  They don't have extra padding, but the bra is made out of material to hide 'nipping out'.  Seriously, I love them!

  • I love the wireless angels bras.  I got an augmentation since I am done having kids and they are so comfortable, no push up.  They are simple with a little bow in the middle and lace on the bottoms. Just looked at the site, and they are not on there.  I got them in the store.  They were $39 each.
  • I had this same problem.  I went from a 36small c to a 38d after being done nursing ect.  I went to VS and they do have those bins with like 10 different bras in your size.  I found the ones I love were the Body by Victoria lined demi.  They are a cotton material (no lace or push up padding but they are think enough to prevent "headlights" in cold weather.  Also, they are very washable and they have underwire but I beleive they come w/o underwire too. (i love underwire for lift)

I went into my VS and asked for a 36 c and the girl looked at my chest and said "no honey you are a 38D for sure and she was right on the money.  So I prefer actually going there and getting the bins to try the different ones on.  I agree some are ridiculous...I wasnt looking to seduce my Dh I just wanted a normal everyday wear bra that had more sex appeal & support than my worn out nursing bras!!!
