Why can't y'all

I wish some of you lived around here and could work out with me or at least motivate me to get up and moving!  I've always done better sticking to a work out routine if I had a partner.  But now all I really feel up to is walking (and I don't have anyone to watch DS anyway).  I know I need to to something to make me feel better about myself.  I'm going to get in a major funk if I have too many more days inside with just DS for company and no sleep at night.  I'd LOVE to have an hour a day to go to the store or go for a jog by myself!  Maybe I'm not going to make such a great SAHM Tongue Tied

Re: Why can't y'all

  • I know what you mean walking around the block would be sooooo much cooler with a mom to gossip with....the house next door is for sale hint hint

  • You are going to be  GREAT SAHM!!!  In fact, you already are!  I know it's tough right now, but things will definitely get better soon Big Smile !  Try taking your DS for a walk at least once a day.  I know it's not by yourself, but it made me feel better.  Just getting outside in the fresh air helped me so much!  I was so used to running "90 miles/hour" before DD, working full-time and a full-time grad student.  It was such a hard adjustment to go from being able to get up and do anything whenever I wanted....to sitting at home on the couch or in my glider BFing all day.  But since DD hit around 2 months old, I am able to do so much more with her.  She loves the grocery store, and going places with me so I love taking her everywhere I go.

To get time to myself, I just ask DH to watch DD for a little while on the weekends or evenings so I can take a bath/shower, get my hair cut or whatever.  Keep up the great work you're doing for your DS!!!  HTH.

  • I wish I could take DD all those places she screams the second we get in the car she hates her car seat and riding in the car
  • I know what you mean, B hates going to any store.  Screams the second we go in.  He's ok w/his carseat though.

I'd love to have another SAHM (or a working mom) in my area to walk with and stuff, but all around me are 80+ retired folks. :)

I did get out and take a walk with DS today.  It wasn't long, but it still felt good.  It was 70 degrees here!  I'm looking forward to the 2-3 month mark.  It'll all be sooo much better when I get smiles from him and he can go more than 2 hours with out wanting to eat.  Right now he sleeps all day and only wakes up to eat.  Then he's right back down.

Thanks for the motivation and encouraging words!

  • I'm pretty sure that southernbell82 (I think those are the right numbers) lives in the same city as you. She is over on 6-12. Maybe she would be interested in being a workout partner? You never know! She is totally sweet and I don't know how anyone could dislike her. You can also check out your local board and see if there is anyone interested.?

HTH :O) A bunch of girls in my city are starting up a play group. SO excited! Hope the same happens for you!?

  • Thanks!  I'll check it out!
