dry skin on face

Does anyone else's DC have REALLY dry skin on their face?  It was just slightly noticeable about 2 weeks ago...now it's really red and everyone at Christmas asked about it.  DS had his 4 month appt a few days ago and she said it was just dry skin, not eczema...plus, he doesn't itch it or anything, and it doesn't seem to bother him.  I just can't figure out how to get rid of it!  For awhile I was using Aquaphor but he keeps putting his hands in his mouth and then rubbing it off so it helped his forehead but his cheeks just keep getting worse.  Now I'm trying this Tri Derma dry skin stuff I got at BRU but I don't see a difference yet...does anyone have any other ideas of what might work better?

 Thanks!

Re: dry skin on face

  • Well, not on her face. She has extremely dry patches on her legs. We've been using Aveeno cooling (something or other) that the pedi recommended. It's only been 3 days but it seems to be working pretty well. Maybe they make it for face?

  • Vaseline does wonders...

image Alcoholism is not determined by how much you drink or how often, but by negative consequences in your life that do not alter your drinking habits.
  • I put Arbonne Baby lotion on her cheeks every night before bed and it really helps. ?

I am pretty sure it is just the season. ?Lily didn't have it until it got cold outside and we started running the heat all day and night. ?My Mom says I also had it in the winter when I was little.

  • My pedi has recommended Triple Cream or Aquaphor...
    Nothing to see here....
  • Thanks everyone!  I think you're right, it is just the season...and I know it bothers me a LOT more than it bothers him.

  • My pedi just said earlier this week that most babies have dry skin/eczema.  I use Aquaphor, but the pedi suggested only doing it every other day or every 3 days or it clogs their pores.  GL!
