DD spits up ALL the time. It never seems to bother her, but I'm getting worried that she's not getting enough food, since so much of what she gets she spits up. I'll obviously bring it up with my pedi, but anyone's DC do this too?
yep! mine does too. i talked to pediatrician and she said it is normal- some babies more than others. she told me to lay baby on side to help her get it out. and i asked her if i could come back in monday for another weight check (for piece of mind that baby is gaining enough weight since i am only breastfeeding)
I was really worried about this at your LO's age, too. As long as she is having an appropriate number of wet and dirty diapers, she is probably fine. You might see if an LC or your pedi's office will let you bring her in periodically for a weight check, just so you know she is gaining weight appropriately.?
DS was ALWAYS spitting up, after every feeding. I consulted with pedi and he said the same thing that it was normal. He also recommended that I give him less formula - he thought that maybe I should give him less more often. That didn't help.
DS is FF and drinks Enfamil Lipil. While on their website I read that they have Lipil AR for babies who spit up too much. After consulting with Dr we decided to switch formulas and wouldn't you know it - while the spit ups did not 100% stop - they are significantly less. He will do it once in while and not as much comes out. before it was as if the faucet had been turned on.
So....not sure if your LO is breast fed or formula fed. Hope this helps
