Parenting after a Loss

G=pooping, P=sleeping!

AHhhhhhhhhh Gabriel pooped on the potty today!!!!!!  I am SO excited!  I got him naked for his bath, then P started crying, ran to get her calm, went to find him----he's in the living room being quiet and immediately told me to get out!  He likes to be alone while he does his thing.  I snatched him up and told him "Let's go poo poo on the potty!"  He told me OK!  So I put his little seat attachment on the toilet and he told me to go away!  I heard him talking to himself and I checked on him like three times----then he called for me and I went in there and he DID IT!  I am soooo happy, I hope that this is the beginning of a very good thing!  This was the very first time, we talk about it a lot but he always refuses to sit and so I haven't pushed it.  I've put him on the potty before but he gets right up and runs away, so this is a very big step!

And Princess P, STTN update..... 4 days in a row of sleeping 7-8 hours straight!  I am so proud of my babies today!

Re: G=pooping, P=sleeping!

  • Wooohoo! Did you ever think you'd be excited to get a turd and some sleep for Christmas?!

    Allison has been sleeping really well for the past week or so, too.  It's very exciting!

  • Congrats!!!!!  Allie has been giving us 5.5 - 6 hour shifts for the past few days also.  All the babies must've gotten the message about STTN!

  • Wow what a great Christmas.

  • I agree with Berty. Who knew we could be so happy for poo and sleep?

    I am waiting for Landon to sleep longer spans. I am happy for my 4-5 hours so far. Xmas morning was his longest span and I think it was the best xmas present I have ever received in my life.

  • You guys are on a roll!
