sweetest Christmas surprise (daycare)

Early Christmas morning, DH noticed a wrapped package in our mailbox. He brought it in and it was addressed 'to mommy and daddy from Miranda'.

It was a beautiful homemade Christmas ornament with her picture on it. Her daycare provider made it, and most touching of all is that she actually went out either late Christmas eve or very early Christmas morning dropping gifts off at her 'parents' houses.

It was the only gift that made me cry this year. I am even more convinced now that Miranda's daycare provider, is, in actual fact, an angel.

  • Wow, that is so great!  I wish that I had a daycare that is as thoughtful as yours.
    Nothing to see here....
  • ours did the same thing for our Ava, but I got in trouble for it... ends up that the "class portraits" that the company coming in took WERE cute, and I got in big trouble for not spending $30 on a basic package. Davez is bummed we don't have any (other than the one in the ornament) and I'm spending monday on the phone calling to see if we can still order

  • Aw that's so great.  We have the children make gifts for the parents, then wrap them and send them home.  We have almost 200 children. I couldn't imagine having to hand deliver them all.  I bet is was a very sweet surprise.
