Lump under DD's nipple/breast tissue... worried.

?DD is 4 1/2 months old and has a lump under her right nipple that is noticeably larger than the lump under her left nipple. My Ped. saw her a short time ago for her check up and said it was just breast tissue, but since then it has increased in size. Is this something that just happens or am I right to be concerned and want her to take a second look at her? ?She hasn't had a fever or any redness around the area.?

FYI, she had swollen breasts and witches milk when she was born, but that was gone by 4 weeks. ?

  • i'd have dr take another look but i wonder if it's a little clogged duct that never got the memo after her little milk supply dried up.
    Wheee!

  • is she on BM? If she is, the lump is from the hormones in your milk and it's a common occurance, totally normal. It happened to my DD when I was still BF-ing. Leave it be and it will go away on its own.

  • She's on Soy formula.. but I've heard that the soy can mimic estrogen?? Maybe that is why???

I think I am going to call the ped. on Monday and take her in for a second look.
