DS spent his first night in his crib last night! He's been sleeping for 6-7 hour stretches in the PNP next to our bed for the past 4 nights (yea!) and we got home from Houston last night and I decided to try it out. He did great, still slept 6-7 hours, but I was so sad. I woke up so many times to go check on him even though I knew he was fine on the monitor. He felt so far away from me on the other side of the house! So I made DH put the PNP back up next to me today for naps. That's okay right? Have him nap in the PNP and sleep in his room? I feel like he's getting so big so fast.
Re: first night in crib- bittersweet
that's great that yall are able to get big blocks of sleep, but im sure it is so sad to have him at the other side of the house. i would totally let him nap in his pack and play, but im a cuddler, so i want my baby close to me all the time.?
ruby wont sleep in the cradle in our room, she loves her crib. b/c i didnt like being on the other side of the house (especially b/c she's still up so much at night), DH and I are temporarily sleeping in the guest room. so, i can relate to wanting to be close. ?
That's great he's sleeping so well!
Have him sleep wherever you want. I'm not all about adhering to rules or schedules, and DS is still in his PNP in our bedroom. We both like having him close, and we all sleep like babies 10-11 hours a night.
We'll move him when it feels right. So yeah, if you want him to nap in the PNP, go for it!
(read it. you know you want to.)
