We are in Chicago/midwest. The weather is frightful. So, I have been bathing her every other day or every 3rd day because we go out and I dont want her getting sick.
how does giving her a bath have to do with getting sick?? I assume you arent bathing her and taking her out wet so why would it matter?
We bathe dd everyday during the week and not during the weekend. I like getting the daycare germs off of her during the week. I wont change it during the winter.
Alot ofpeople dont bathe their DCs often. I do because of daycare and she spits up a ton so she does get gross
I still bathe her every night and just make sure to dry her hair really well. I also make sure I turn up the heat a bit just for when I'm drying her off/putting on the pjs and all of that so she doesn't feel drafty.
As of yet, she hasn't gotten sick. I thought she was getting a cold about 2wks back but turned out she wasn't. I'm just paranoid lol.
It's very cold in our house so I do not bathe DD as often. But I only do it a couple times a week anyway. I do have a space heater I can use for it though.
We've never bathed him daily--3 or 4 times a week, max, regardless of the weather. He just doesn't get that dirty or smelly yet, so there's no need. I put lotion on him after each one to prevent dry skin.
We bathe her every day to get the dead skin cells off and keep places like her underarms (which are prone to irritation) and her diaper area extra clean. I only use the baby wash on the rest of her every other day. I just wash her with water on the off days. Her skin had been getting a little dry washing her every day. I'm keeping up the routine to help her sleep and because she's usually in day care and I want to wash off whatever may have happened that day. I don't worry about the cold. We keep the house warm and I cover her in the towel as soon as she's out of the tub and dry her off.

We still do a bath most nights. I just dry him off well, put lotion on him and get him in snuggly pj's right away. Baths really seem to relax him and help him get to sleep.

DD gets in the tub everyday as a part of her routine. But I only wash her (with soap) every other day, otherwise her skin with dry out. It was only 19 degrees here last night. Not as cold as your house, but still cold.
We typically do every other day but there have been times here lately, especially with me recovering from our car accident (lifting her kills my back), that we have gone 3 days so that DH could do her baths in between his work schedule. I just wipe her down during diaper changes on the off days.
This isn't really seasonal though. Our bathroom is usually an oven so she gets a good bath and is dressed before we leave the bathroom where she would be cooler. We usually do the bath right before bed as well.
