Baby #2 was planned for us but he came 7 years after #1
I can say that each pregnancy of mine has been drastically different (and this is #3)... different types and amounts of morning sickness, very different amounts of weight gain, different levels of exhaustion, etc. I wish there were an easy way to predict how it would be.... but there just isn't!
I think the definites are that 1) you will show way sooner with #2... it's like your abs just give up the fight after #1 and 2) it's pretty likely that you'll be extra exhausted at the end... it isn't easy caring for any age child while pregnant.
I'm so excited for you though! What a fantastic Christmas present (a big suprise!! but totally awesome none the less!!!)
Surprise!! Found out when Evan was 10.5 months old. Never got a PP period. Totally, totally shocked!
So far, both pregnancies have been pretty much the same... I do feel like I'm showing a little earlier. And I've been craving more salty than spicy this go around. I'm WAY more tired, but that's to be expected since I'm now chasing a 1 yr old. No more sleeping in and mid-day naps for me!
Hi! This is my second and it was totally planned! We've been waiting for this for 13 months! So far, things seem exactly the same. I'm really early still, so we'll see if there are any differences.
My DS is 21 months, so I luckily was able to lose all my baby weight plus a couple pounds. Just because you didn't lose the weight doesn't mean you will gain the same amount the second time around!!! Good luck!
PG # 2 (but baby # 3) is a COMPLETE shocker!!!!! So far every is going great...I did loss my weight for the boys. So I was the exact same size as pre-pregnacy with this one.

Our second was planned. We started trying three months after we had our son. 18 months, lots of clomid, 2 IUIs and 1 IVF later I was pregnant again. So far my pregnancies are very similar. I've had long lasting morning sickness and weight loss with both. I don't really think I started showing earlier but I'm bigger at this point in my pregnancy than I was last time and I think I'm a little more uncomfortable. I'm probably about equally as tired but I don't have the luxury this time around for after work naps since my son is up and needs attention. Oh, and last time around I was pregnant in the summer and it's the dead of winter here in Wisconsin now and I am finding that harder on me. Trudging through snow when you're ginormous is no fun!
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
