food without teeth

I have forgotten from my son, but it looks like a bunch of you are giving table food at 8mo.  My DD only have the bottom 2 teeth.  Do you babies have more teeth, or do you just let them chew with their gums on them?  I have done the puff and the baby 'cheetos' snacks from gerber, but those basically melt when it goes into her mouth.

They just chew with their gums.

She pretty much just gums it.  Even now that she has 7 teeth.  They are all in front so she doesn't really chew with them.

DD only has 2 teeth and eats anything even semi mushy.
