I need some recommendations for infant daycare centers in NYC or JC/Hoboken. I'd like to keep the cost under $1200 a month if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Would a nanny be better? If so, can someone recommend a service?
From a few daycares that I called there is no way that you would be able to get daycare at that cost in the city. It seems that the going rate is about $2400 a month for full time. Good luck
$1200 is VERY low for NYC. We pay $1800 for our NYC daycare, which as PP pointed out, is not very expensive for the area. You may do better in NJ. Nannies in NYC get $12-15/hour, so they're even more expensive. Don't know about NJ.
I am in that area looking for a nanny. Would you be interested in a Nanny share?
How would a nanny share work?
I need someone for 3 days a week. I'm pulling my hair out with this. $1,800 is a lot of money to spend on a nanny/daycare. That's almost as much as we pay in rent. Ugh!
