Nautilus help, please!

I got DS's Nautilus, and so far I love it, with one exception. The pad that the shoulder straps loop through seems to pull down the straps so they are below his shoulders. Is it supposed to do that? Does that pad move up somehow?

    You can take it off.  Also I think it may say in the manual take it off once the child is off the first slot.  I took mine off it really does nothing anyways but makes a 20 lbs 1 year old fit in it.

    If you are talking about the body pad (child is sitting on it and leaning against it), then you are only supposed to use that padding if the straps are on the lowest slot level.  If the straps are on a higher level, you are supposed to remove the padding.

    Yep, that pad is only for the bottom set of slots.

    You should always read the manual.  Most of the parents that come to be because they cant get something on the car seat did not read the manual.  If they had they would have had the problem solved.  Just make sure the harness straps go over the rollers near the top slot.
