"oh, that's spelled weird."

got my 2nd "that's spelled different/weird" comment about Kate's (Katelyn) first name.

    Really!?!  If I were going to spell it, that is how I would spell it.  Katelyn seems like the "correct" spelling to me with all others being a variation of it.

    My niece is Catelyn.

    I know someone who spells it Catelin. 

    Katelyn makes most "sense" to me --- especially if you are using Kate as a nn.

    That's strange.  I'd say Katelyn is the most common spelling these days, even if Caitlin is more "traditional." (My Kate is just a Kate and I get "what is her full name?" all the time).

    DD is Katelyn too!  People usyally assume Kaitlin or something..I love the spelling..can we have a fe personalized items we have found places

    THANK YOU!  That's totally what I thought about since we were going to call DD Kate!  People think we've should had spelled it "Kaitlyn."  But then I thought we'd have to spell Kate...Kait or something=P

    That;'s how my name is spelled and i get that too...I tell them, "NO, that is the RIGHT way to spell it!"  ;)
