Does this count as walking??

So my dd has been taking 1-3 steps for about a week.  Yesterday at a family party she was taking around 5..  Today she went from the couch to the coffee table which is about 6-7 steps!!!

She can't get up off the ground to walk she can only pull up to an object and take off.

So does this count?  Can I say she is walking?

This is so exciting :)

  • I'm like jessicada on this one, yes that counts as walking but I wouldn't say your DD is a walker if that makes sense... it gets exciting when they reallyu start taking off! have fun and good luck!!!

Just what I was getting ready to say....LOL!  You are reading my mind!  SCARY ISN'T IT!...lol.  I would say she is walking but not a walker.  Paige just became a walker about a month or so ago.  She has been walking since around your LO's age!  Also Paige just learned how to stand up without pulling up LAST WEEK!  So they don't have to learn that before they become a walker!  But I swear I thought it would take her forever to learn how to stand up on her own - she did it once and it was like "Oh that is how you do it - ok!" Now she seldom pulls up on things to get up - which means she seldom crawls.  It is bitter sweet - but I would say you do have a girl that can walk!  YAH!

  • I get what you all are saying!  This is just so exciting.  We squeal and clap with excitement when she walks and she just looks so proud of herself ;)
