Babies: 9 - 12 Months

jodynjames

I posted a couple days ago, but don't know if you caught it.  My dd has the same Christmas dress that your daughters have in your siggy.  Didn't realize it was dry clean only when I got it.... did you do anything to wash it anyway?  I was hoping we could get away without washing it, but DD spit up on it twice yesterday.  I might be able to just spot clean though, but I'm planning on her wearing it at least two more times....

Re: jodynjames

  • Sorry, I haven't been on as much as usual the past few days! I didn't realize that either when I got it. Grr. I had the girls wear it for portraits and it made it through that mostly ok but had a few dirt spots. They are wearing it again for Christmas, and I just used those Dryel sheets in the dryer and then hung it in my bathroom while I showered to get the wrinkles out. It looks fine!

I'd be leery of spot cleaning since it is silk... liquid can really mess with that. Stupidest fabric for baby dresses EVER, but so pretty and classic :)

  • I was able to use the silk setting on my iron and kind of iron it (it was hard to do because it doesn't lay flat).  I might spot clean with a wipe or something....I dunno.  Stupid -- who does a dry clean only baby dress!?
