So DS hasn't been himself all day and developed a fever-101- around noon today and it's been going up and down all day. We've been giving him tylenol and luke warm baths. During his last bath I stuck my finger in his mouth to check and see if I felt anything and sure enough a little tooth is poking through. It's barely visible but it's there. I know drs say that fevers are a coincidence and not a result of teeth but I always remember this with my older son. Since my other child is 11 I cannot remember what we did. I remember using Baby Orajel, but my pediatrician has said that's a waste. So what do you do to deal with their discomfort? TIA
Re: Help with first cut tooth!
Tylenol/Motrin, teether toys, and frozen washcloths
My ped said not to use Baby Orajel.
