Anyone planning to drive today?

We have an appointment to get Mattie's Santa pictures re-taken this evening in Bothell.  I'm wondering if we should do it or not.  It will be dark out by then.  I'm hoping we have a massive melt before now and then, but I know that's not gonna happen.  Just wondering if anyone's been out and about and what it looks like out there.

  • What happened with his first visit to Santa?  did he cry?

  • Steve and my mom think they're going out to do errands.   Steve thinks it's fine.  We shall see.

  • I'm on day 6 of snow arrest.  Don't plan on leaving since it's close to a ft of snow up here in Marysville.  The roads are TERRIBLE and I have a 2WD car.  So DS and I are trying NOT to go crazy.  DH is working, and my parents are going to attempt to come here today.  They are in central WA so we'll see.  Currently I90 is closed so they'd have to go US2.
  • We went out walking with the dog, and the roads are covered. We got about 5" last night and it's just started coming down again. On the bright side it's all pretty sticky snow and not ice at all. We saw quite a few people out with their 2WDs. I think we are going to head over to BIL's soon but we're using chains. I saw other people doing it but I am not a huge risk taker.
  • We don't live any where near you, but we got a lot more snow last night.

We went out this morning to go to Costco, the roads were really bad if you have 2WD. The snow is starting to melt and there is just TONS of it. I think it should be better by tonight. Don't you have a Highlander? Did you get 4WD?

Anyway, we have been out almost everyday, but we have 4WD and haven't had any problems. Most of the cars on the road are AWD or have chains on.

  • Christine - We do have a Highlander, but opted for the 2WD since that one had a DVD player (which is so useful for our 7 month old who faces backwards - LOL).  However, we do have chains and that's how we've gotten out the last few days.

  • Ugh.  We have Nutcracker 1pm tickets.  They cancelled the show, but said if we come to the 5:30pm show, they will find us good seats.  We really want to go, but I'm nervous.  We went to Leavenworth yesterday and it took us four hours to get home.  This is our only opportunity to go, though, and we've been wanting to go for several year.

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
  • We went out! Everett was okay but all the 2 wheel driver were stuck on the side of the roads. Def 4 wheel kinda weather.
