Babies: 9 - 12 Months

How do you know your day care is "good"?

What are some things that your day care provider does that make you happy with them?  Any dislikes?

I really like that our provider does fun stuff with the kids..they took a tour of a fire station, go to parks, go to music class every other week, and in the winter months they rent out a room at the gym so the kids can run around.  She also does really nice things, like she bought DS a gift at Thanksgiving,  DS laughs so hard when he sees her in the morning, which makes me feel better leaving him there all day long.

  • She's in a private licensed and she comes home covered in kisses and happy and always excited to see our daycare provider. I like the outings, the weekly overviews she gives me, and the TLC. I also love the fact that jo has her own room there for naps. That's important to me when you have a baby with sleep issues. I knew she'd never sleep in a room full of other babies in cribs.?

    • DCP takes the kids on lots of fun field trips (DS is in a small in home day care)  to indoor play places, to visit santa, the pumpkin patch, etc.
    • She does a lot of crafts to send home for parents.  For Christmas, she sent home an 8x10 photo frame with a collage of photos of DS for me.
    • She got DS a birthday present for his birthday.  Totally unexpected, and it's one of his favorite toys.
    • She communicates with me wonderfully.  She is also very blunt if DS has had a bad day, she tells me how so.
