I'm thinking maybe she just sleeps so well at night that she doesn't need as many naps during the day?? I'd say she sleeps about 13 total hrs/day. But 11-12 of those are at night. I know I shouldn't complain. I just want to make sure I am giving her what she needs -- night AND day.
Re: ok how many hours/day does your 3-month-old sleep?
Jenna was sleeping 11ish at night and barely at all during the day maybe an hour or two
babycenter has these guidelines but every baby is different
its number of hours at night, then number of hours of naps with number of naps next to it in parentheses and then total hours on the right
Lately (past week) Maya has been sleeping 11-12 hours at night, a nice 2-3 hour nap in the morning, and 1 short 30-45 minute nap in the afternoon. It's so hard to read those guidelines... I think each baby is so different. I know she could use a better afternoon nap because she's always falling apart by evening time.
It's so exhausting figuring out this nap thing!
Anna has the same sleeping habits as Avery. I would love if she would take longer naps during the day (20-40 minutes max, 3x a day), but she sleeps so well at night that I feel like I can't complain.
My mom commented that she's such a happy baby- my feeling is that if she wasn't getting the sleep she needed, she would be a miserable mess!
