Parenting after a Loss

nap success!!

I'm afraid to write this post and jinx it but she is on her 3rd good nap right now -- out of the blue DH stepped up to the plate and figured it out!

I got my haircut this morning so he was home with her and after failing with the crib and the swing, he tried putting her up in the pack-and-play in our bedroom (where she sleeps at night), swaddling her, putting on the white noise and closing the shades.?All 3 times she's been out within 2 minutes. Why didn't I think of that?!?!?

I hope this means we have a happier baby this evening!

p.s. new snow pics in my blog -- click on "dear aver" below...?

  • Cute pics and video!!  The video cracked me up- she's kind of got what DH and I call DS's "wtf-face" going on.  Very sweet though.

And I'm jealous- I can't wait for snow pics with DS!  Probably not until next Christmas when we go to WI though!

  • that should say avery -- I can't even spell my own kid's name!

by the way I think I might have jinxed it. I am watching her on the video monitor right now -- awake but not fussing...yet?

  • andrew naps now exactly how he sleeps at night - that is what has worked for us. :)
