XP: 7th Generation diapers - rash

So a friend very kindly gave us a case of the 7th Generation diapers. And not long after we started using them, Linus got a diaper rash. Not a rash as much as redness all over his butt. The thing is, they never ever get diaper rash. Not even when they have diarrhea. So I'm wondering if it's the diapers. Has anyone had any issues with them?

Of course, they've also started eating some new foods too, but I really hope it's not that. Any thoughts?

Re: XP: 7th Generation diapers - rash

  • I am thinking it must be the food. My DC has been wearing them for 13 months (since he was itty bitty) and he gets diaper rash mainly when eating new foods & I don't change his stinky diapers fast enough. We love 7th Generation and don't have any problems with them.

  • My guess is that it's the food, since 7th gen diapers tend to be pretty mild when it comes to "chemicals". Is he getting more acidic foods or foods that make his poop more soft? That can cause the redness too.
