Thought I would ask this here too......

I just tested this morning (BFN of course) and am wondering if injectables are our next route. Both IUI's had 3 and 3.5 million sperm.

Our Dr has mentioned moving to injectables as our next step......I kind of don't see the point of moving to injectables. I respond well to Clomid and Femara (o'd two eggs both times).

What is the point of shooting myself up with drugs and doing more IUI's if the sperm count does't get any better? Anyone have any insight? I am starting to feel a LOT of resentment....

    I personally would NOT want more than 1-2 targets for ANY batch of sperm to hit. Yikes! Not knowing any of the details, I kinda side with you on this one.

    You did B2B IUI's?  I can see sticking with IUI's for a bit, but don't get the stim part if you're popping eggs?  hnmmm.....

    RE doesn't do BTB's.

    We did one couple months ago, I had to go on BCP for 1 month for 3 cysts and we just did one on the 9th.

    Are your eggs viable on clomid/femera?  big enough?  injectibles helped my eggs mature, they weren't viable on clomid, even though I was ovulating.

    I think you misunderstood davez, what she meant by back to back was to have the insemination 2 days in a row, that way you get 3mil the first day and hopefully close to the same 24hrs later.  Some places will even bank some sperm and do frozen the first day and fresh the next (or vice versa) that way you send more "guys" into action.  I know my RE probably would not have done the IUI with only 3mil sperm, he looks for 5-10mil for success.

    I agree with you on the injectibles, I don't see that it's necessary if you respond well to clomid or femara and I def. wouldn't do it without follie checks, I would think any responsible RE would do that though.

    efooey...I did understand her question. Our RE does not do back-to-back IUI's. I've had two seperate IUI's with a BCP break in between.

    I have been thinking about calling and asking for BTB sperm collection....

    According to U/S I had one 26 and one 18mm egg the first IUI (p4 level over 40) and for this IUI I had one 22 and one 19mm. I am assuming they are "good" eggs. I guess I wouldn't know about the quality unless we did IVF......

    Those are plenty big enough.  my RE likes to see 18mm, minimum.
